Congratulations to the PSU HRMA Case Study competition team!

The team won 2nd Place at the NHRMA Student Conference.

We are very pleased to announce that HRMA is up to 60 members.

2009 - 2010 PSU HRMA Leadership Elections

It is that time of year again...elections! HRMA has worked so hard this year to set up our succession plan to carry on for years to come.

Please e-mail with the subject line "09-10 Elections" if you have any sort of interest in developing your leadership skills, want something great to put on your resume, or simply want to be more involved in your student organization.

Elections will be held at the HRMA Meeting on Wednesday, May 13th.

Susan is a Performance Consultant, Speaker, and Facilitator. She is the owner of Performance Works LLC, a Portland-based performance consulting firm and an adjunct faculty memebr at Marylhurst University.

Additional Volunteers Needed for SBA Interview Coaching Day

9:00am - 4:00pm (2 hour Shifts)

Volunteers are needed to help at the check-in desk for the
SBA Interview Coaching Day. (This involves interaction with professionals in the Portland area).

(Each year, PSU HRMA volunteers at this event sponsored by SBA Career Services).

Volunteers needed for Northwest Youth Career Expo

8:00am - 3:00pm (shifts available or volunteer all day)

Volunteers with some interviewing experience are needed to to assist in mock interview sessions during the 5th Annual Northwest Youth Career Expo.

The PSU HRMA Resume Book is posted every Spring on the PHRMA website.

Deadline to submit your resume: Monday, May 4th

Columbia Willamette Compensation Group (CWCG) Student Scholarship
(Completed applications for the 2009-2010 academic year will be accepted beginning May 1, 2009 to May 22, 2009)

CWCG has established a Student scholarship for individuals interested in exploring the Compensation and Benefits field.

Visit to obtain the application.

Students meeting the following criteria are invited to submit an application:

-Junior or higher academic status (including graduate students).
-GPA of 3.00 or higher.

-A declared major of HR Management or a related academic field.

-Currently enrolled in an accredited university in the Portland and SW Washington area.

SBA Interview Coaching Day for Seniors
(Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 22nd at 4:00pm - No exceptions!)

Thursday, April 30th
9:00am - 4:00pm (Scheduled 30 minute appointments)

Participants will:
-Be scheduled for a 30-minute practice interview with a business professional. -Receive valuable tips and feedback.
-Gain confidence for their future job-search.

Space is limited so register early to secure your spot.

To register:
-Send a copy of your resume to or bring a copy of your resume to SBA Career Services SBA room 240.

-Specify if you have time preference: AM, PM or NO Preference.

You MUST provide a copy of your resume to participate.
